EMBROIDERY: Mendika Journey Table or Wall Quilt

Mendika Journey is a project for larger sewing/embroidery machines. Beautiful embroideries, including one designed by our instructor, Annette Luther, and decorative stitches carefully chosen from your machine are used to create this sophisticated design.

Supply List

1.
Kona Cotton: Cream or your choice of color, 1 ½ yards. You may wish to buy additional, just in case.
2.
Batting: Thin, firm batting, such as Warm and Natural or the equivalent in polyester. I used polyester.

Sheer mesh cut away stabilizer. Depends on the width. You need enough to fit in the hoop, one for each
embroidery.
4.
Lining fabric for the quilt back: 1 yard.
5.
Binding fabric: 1/3 – ½ yards.
6.
Medium weight tear away that tears away easily. I recommend the one on the roll at Austin's.

Embroidery thread: 4 colors, that look nice with your fabric. For the embroidery, I used: RA2250-
Pistachio, Sulky 1170 medium gray brown and Madeira 1145 very dark brown. You will need a cream
color for the quilting with decorative stitches. I used Madeira 1084, which is a medium dark cream.
You may use any other colors that look nice together.
