Mary Mulari at Austin's

A Day’s Variety Show of Projects & Ideas

presented by Mary Mulari, Sewing With Nancy’s most frequent guest

Mary Mulari, author and national sewing personality, will inspire and entertain you with her latest collection of classy sewing ideas and details. Topics included in her presentation are aprons, totes, sew-green makeovers, all occasion fabric wraps, and really clever zipper projects. Collect ideas for quick but classy gifts and travel accessories and discover new possibilities for applique and quilting scraps. You’ll see the special projects from her books, patterns, and guest appearances on PBS television’s Sewing with Nancy. For a great time and lots of new ways to use your sewing machines, don’t miss this program!
From Mary

For a generous dose of sewing inspiration, make sure you're at Austin's for my presentation on May 13 and the hands on sewing classes on May 14! You'll see classy but easy-to-sew projects featured in books and on Sewing With Nancy. You'll learn ways to give new life to clothing, table linens, felted sweaters, and scarves. You'll collect gift ideas for everyone on your gift list and be amazed by  zipper bags--made from yards and yards of zippers. You'll see the very newest aprons and applique, along with the scoop on a fabric collection I designed for Penny Rose Fabrics.

Still not convinced you should attend? You'll be among the first to see the very latest projects I am working on for Sewing With Nancy PBS shows to be taped this year. (They won't air until later in the year so you'll be "in the know" before most of your sewing friends!) There will be surprises and inventive ways to use your sewing machines, adding stitching details to wow your friends and neighbors. I've earned my national reputation as the teacher who brings the most samples to share-- my duffel bags are bulging with super, creative, and clever items you'll want to rush home to sew yourself.

With Teresa and her staff's  hospitality and my collection of very cool sewing ideas, you can't go wrong spending a day at Austin's Sewing Center. Why not register today to save your seat before the room is full and you'll miss out on the fun, food, and the pleasures of stitching!

Hands on Sashiko class description:

For a new kind of sewing experience, join me for the morning or afternoon session on Saturday May 14. 2 Sessions available.  We'll create two projects:  a monogrammed luggage tag and a watchband (with a watch face you'll choose from my collection). The Baby Lock Sashiko machine will be the one you'll use. Have you been curious about this unique embellishment machine? Join me for some creative fun and two completed projects by the end of the class.
