Say Hello to the Luminaire 3 Innov-ís XP3 — the latest and greatest sewing, embroidery, and quilting machine from Brother. In addition to our revolutionary StitchVision projection technology, the Luminaire 3 has powerful wireless LAN capabilities, so you can transfer embroidery designs directly from your PC. You can even send images from a smart phone or tablet, get alerts when it’s time to change thread, and enable multiple Brother machines to work together. - Revolutionary StitchVision Technology - Clearly preview stitches and embroidery designs directly on your fabric with this intelligent projection system. Preview, audition and edit your designs and stitches in a 5" x 3" virtual preview area.
- Guideline Marker Line and Guideline Marker Grid - Project a guideline marker line and marker grid on your fabric, offering you the option of single, double, angled, or grid lines to light your path with precision. Great for creating multiple rows of stitches, parallel stitching, pin tucks, hems, curtain rod pockets, decorative stitches, cross hatch quilting, or smocking.
- Large 10 5/8" x 16" embroidery area - The largest and most advanced embroidery frame that Brother has ever offered. Create larger-than-life embroidery with ease.
- My Connection- Your ScanNCut DX and your Brother XP sewing machine can now talk to one another. When connected to your home network, use the My Connection tile on the home screen to utilize the send/retrieve function between the ScanNCut DX and the Brother XP sewing machine. This takes the place of using a USB to transfer designs between these machines and is exclusive to the SDX325 and SDX330D. (Activation card for your XP machine included with the SDX325/SDX330D and firmware update may be required).
- Brother-Exclusive ‘Quiltbroidery’ Features- Only the Luminaire 2 XP2 has 5 options of two-color quilting sash designs, which are perfect for eye-catching, colorful borders. Design line-art-inspired drawings right in the palm of your hand with built-in embroidery drawing tools and optional stitch types (straight and zigzag stitch). With all these tools at your fingertips, design hand-drawn drawings up to 4" x 4" (100mm x 100mm) and 5" x 7" (130mm x 180mm) right on your mobile device and then transfer your creations to the Luminaire 3.

Free Downloadable Software Design Database Transfer
Transfer embroidery designs from a PC to your Luminaire 3 when connected to a wireless network. No USB required. Plus, when you pair your Luminaire 3 with PE-DESIGN 11, you can send edited designs back and forth, in both directions, between the computer and the machine.
My Connection Feature
Use your wireless network to easily send design files between your Brother Innov-is XP3 and ScanNCut machines for greater efficiency. This feature works with all non-Disney designs, which can be sent from the XP3 to the ScanNCut to create cut files (great for cutting precise applique pieces) and send design files from the ScanNCut to create perfect embroidery and applique project in My Design Center. This feature works with ScanNCut Innov-ís Edition ScanNCut DX SDX325 and the Limited-Edition Disney Innov-ís Edition ScanNCut DX SDX330D.

Choose the angle of the taper of the beginning and end of your desired stitch, to achieve sharp, precise, and professional-looking stitches on jeans, tops, home decor and more. You can also select the number of repeat stitches in the pattern cycle, so you begin and end exactly where you need.
Large Connect Designs
Embroider designs that go beyond the boundaries of the largest hoop The Luminaire 3 XP3 comes with 5 built-in large connect embroidery designs which range up to 28″x15″. These designs can be combined to create large, seamless pieces that are breath-taking. Select from extravagant flowers, exotic birds, and other elaborate designs.

Edge-to-Edge Quilting
The Edge-to-Edge quilt feature lets you quilt your projects right on the XP3, and works great with the optional 10″x10″ magnetic hoop. The 10 included patterns allow for plenty of variety and come with clear, easy-to-follow directions.
Auto-Split of Large Quilting Sashes
This feature lets you easily connects patterns for beautiful, continuous quilt borders. After you choose the size of your border and hoop, the XP3 automatically splits the design into multiple hoopings. Alternatively, the optional Brother-exclusive Hoopnetic Magnetic Sash Frame allows you to merely slide the fabric along the hoop to the next area to be embroidered.
Patent-Pending Brother-Exclusive Hoopnetic Magnetic Sash Frame (optional)
The optional Hoopnetic Magnetic Sash Frame hoops thick fabrics and layered pieces with a strong grip. The fabric will not shift in the Hoopnetic Frame, and re-hooping the fabric for connecting designs or embroidering large areas is a thing of the past. Simply slide the frame in the frame to the next area to be embroidered.
Compact MuVit Digital Dual Feed Foot
The MuVit Digital Dual Feed Foot feeds fabric from the top and bottom. Its direct motor drive was designed for difficult fabrics that require special handling, and its constant contact with the material allows for steady stitching and the ability to stitch forward and backward. MuVit Dual Feed Foot makes is very easy to sew precise, uniform stitches on a range of fabrics like leather, faux fur and silk.
Advanced N+ Foot
The N+ foot is a new, included foot with a durable coating meant to feed fabric smoothly. It has a plastic guide to help minimize the possiblity of the material being misaligned during stitching.
Foldable Spool Thread Stand
The foldable spool thread stand attaches magnetically to the top of the machine, and is ideal for king thread spools.
Multi-Function Foot Controller
The included Multi-Function Foot Controller has been designed to be more ergonomic to the foot, and is accessible for toggle functions. The heel and toe kick angle have been updated and the main pedal has bee redesign for easier stepping and load reduction. There is also a built-in cord storage solution and easy-adjust slot on the back of the pedal.
Needle Point Projection for Free-Motion Quilting
Get precised placement for every stitch with the pinpoint projection directly onto the spot where the needle drops on the fabric. This is a great feature to guider your free-motion quilting.
Enhanced InnovEye Technology
InnovEye Plus technology is like a built-in camera and scanner right on your sewing machine! The machine can scan the entire embroidery area, giving you tons of creative options and taking the guesswork out of your projects. InnovEye gives you the ability to know precisely where your embroidery will be placed. Spend less time waiting and more time creating with InnovEye Plus’s fast scanning speeds.
End Point Sewing Function
InnovEye Plus Technology gives you the ability to stop stitching in just the right place! Simply place the Snowball End Point Sewing Sticker over your stopping point, and machine will not take a single stitch more than it should.
Snowman Embroidery Positioning Marker
This little sticker pairs with with InnovEye Plus Technology to automatically position designs for precise embroidery placement. Choose from nine options for alignment of embroidery designs.
My Design Center: Make Your Projects Unique
There are amazing enhancements to My Design Center on the Brother Luminaire 3 XP3. Six new decorative fill patterns have been added, as well as a ten-key input to size designs more accurately. There is also a numbering system for stamp shapes. Custom decorative fill patterns and line motifs can be imported from the optional PE-Design 11, resulting is greater creativity. Also included is a new fine-tip stylus for better drawing in My Design Center.
Custom Draw
Draw or doodle directly on the LCD display and watch it spring to life in the large drawing area. Or, use the industry-first ScanImation Scanning Frame to scan drawings, line art, handwriting, or printed clip art and have it transformed into embroidery data. Or, import a JPEG using the USB port, and be amazed as the image is turned into stitch data using just the machine.
